Why are 'christians' so boringly narcissistic?

They cannot get it through their heads, that by their own posts, they see themselves as having the truth (smarter than us) while we are bereft of the truth (dumber than them) and in need of their prayers for illumination (we're going to get as smart as them?) Have these 'christians' ever thought that maybe people just as bright as them have searched for evidence of the supernatural, and finding none, come to think that none exists?
