Surely there must be someone on the planet who wont give me some lame *** answer????

Lighten up on the excercise, especially the weights. As you lose fat, you are gaining muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. The cardio probably won't hurt, it will probably help, but lighten up on gaining muscles and just do excercise that will tone you up a bit without adding the additional muscle m.
