Can anyone tell me how to get a picture unstuck from the gl?

i have a picture that was in a frame for 12 years,when i went to change frames,the picture is stuck to the gl,how can i get it off the gl without tearing the picture.its a pic of me and my aunt who died when i was a young girl,so its pretty much irreplaceable.
